(Tuesday, May 27, 2025 | New Castle, Ind.) – Henry County REMC (HCREMC) is pleased to announce an extension of the application deadline for its annual Summer Cooperative Camp—a free, week-long day camp designed for high-school aged students interested in the skilled trades and careers in the cooperative utility sector. The new deadline to apply is June 2, 2025.
The camp, held June 23–27, runs daily from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and provides a unique, behind-the-scenes opportunity for students to explore a variety of career paths—whether in the field, the office, or in technical trades. Campers will gain hands-on experience, learn from industry professionals, and connect with leaders from HCREMC and partnering organizations.
“We’re proud to offer students a direct window into the world of skilled trades and cooperative careers,” said Adam Warwas, Chief Operating Officer of HCREMC. “This camp isn’t just about education, it’s about empowerment. There are incredible opportunities out there for young people in the cooperative world and in skilled trades, and we want to help them see the bright future that’s waiting.”
The Summer Cooperative Camp is open to high school-aged students across the region.
