Henry County Rural Electric Membership Corporation (HCREMC) works hard to keep outages to a minimum, but there are times that Mother Nature can take a turn for the worse.
No matter how severe the storm, you can be sure that HCREMC will not leave you in the dark during these times. Our employees work hard to ensure your power is restored in a timely manner and we are committed to providing you up-to-date information during outage situations.
We offer our members a live outage map that includes details on where our outages are located, how many members are without power and if crews have been dispatched to a particular outage
It’s important for you to know the correct procedures for reporting an outage if one should occur.
First check your fuses or breakers to make sure the problem is not your own.
Check to see if your neighbors have service.
Have your meter or account number ready before reporting an outage.
Members can sign up for outage texting by sending the keyword “REMC” to 1-800-248-8413.
If a power outage occurs at your location, simply texting “Out” to 1-800-248-8413 immediately reports your outage to our dispatchers. *Please be sure that we have the correct cell phone number registered on your account.*
Call (800) 248-8413 24/7 to report an outage. Please have your meter or account number ready when you call.
Using the SmartHub website or app, sign in and click on the “Report an Outage” option from the quick link area on the website or select “Service Status” within the app. You will then be able to add comments and report your outage.
