Sponsored by Indiana Electric Cooperatives and the Electric Consumer

The 2019 Co-op Calendar Art Contest is now underway.

The electric cooperatives’ student art contest is unusual because the winning works are published in a wall calendar. Along with bringing student artists statewide recognition, the printed calendar serves as a wonderful souvenir. In addition, cash prizes are awarded to 13 first place winners, grades K-12, and nine honorable mention winners.

This contest is open to all Indiana students. Winning works will be published in the calendar. For the contest, each grade is assigned a specific month to depict: first graders have January; second graders have February; third graders do March; and so on. High school seniors finish the calendar by depicting December. Kindergartners are assigned the cover art. Students compete only with students in the same grade division.

We are excited to announce that Jakob Graham, local Henry County student, received honorable mention in the 2018 art contest. Congratulations Jakob! His artwork will be featured in the 2018 calendar and available to HCREMC members.
